What is UCL CTF?

What are the eligibility requirements for participating in UCL CTF?

Only current students of Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) are eligible to participate in the competition.

Can I participate as an individual or do I need a team?

Participants may not compete individually; they must form teams of up to 4 members. Each team must designate a team captain responsible for registration.

What is the format of the competition?

UCL CTF consists of various challenges that participants must solve within a set timeframe. Challenges will cover different categories such as web exploitation, OSINT, cryptography, reverse engineering, and forensics.

Can I seek help from people outside my team?

No, participants may not seek assistance from individuals outside their team. However, using publicly available resources (like Google) is allowed, but the use of AI is strictly prohibited.

Is sharing solutions with other teams allowed?

No, sharing solutions or hints with other teams is considered cheating and is not allowed.

What is the required format for flag submissions?

All flags must be submitted in the format ucl{FLAG_ANSWER}. Submissions that do not follow this format will not be accepted.

What behaviors could lead to disqualification from the competition?

Inappropriate behavior, such as using offensive usernames or team names, engaging in harassment, or any unethical conduct, can lead to disqualification.

Do organizers have the right to disqualify participants?

Yes, the organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for violations of these rules, including cheating or misconduct.
